All nurses extremely helpful and polite. Nothing is too much trouble. Physio staff stern but helpful. Doctors excellent
Waiting for buzzer to be answered.
The kindness, efficiency & friendliness of all the ward staff - they never seemed to mind be called back more than once
The lady delivering meals noticed that I have the proper use of only one hand & immediately put the butter & marmalade on the toast without being asked (which I probably wouldn't have done)
Very responsive to questions, requests etc and the systems for care were efficient, effective and I think most importantly, thoughtful. As a patient you feel that staff have time for you. My stay was not planned. I was a day surgery patient whose 24 hour discharge carer was taken off day surgery.
Care by the staff (all of them) was attentive and couldn't be better.
Have always found staff to be very helpful and very friendly. I have been a few times and some remembered me and made me feel very welcome. Keep up the good work
Everything was good from beginning treated me very carefully. Explained everything to me.
Everyone so wonderful to me. I felt I was improving every time someone came to me.
Gracious what changes! this is my seventh op in Ashford/Dickens ward since 2008. Very slowly the care experience has improved (the medical experience has always been the best) but there was always a tinge of uncaring-ness bordering on bullying
But now! wow! Staff introducing themselves to you by name, shaking your hand, replying 'Its my job when you thank them for some kindness'. My goodness me! what a difference these things make
The patience each member of staff with the newly arrived who didn't know where they were and what had happened to them. This applies to 'physio' as well when they got going!
The care my mother received from the Department of Cardiology and her consultant was dreadful. Thanks for their lack of care, inability to analysis her medical condition, not referring to her medical notes she is now in a dreadful place. The department does not put it's patient first. Go to another hospital if you have cardiology problems
